Where can I buy your wines?

You can buy our wines online here at bachelderniagara.com, at restaurants and some are also at the LCBO and SAQ.

Where is your winery?

We are located on the Beamsville Bench, but we make our wines from hand-selected vineyards across Niagara.

Why these vineyards?

Over Thomas’ career in Ontario, he has worked with many great grape growers, many great terroirs formed by the escarpment and the retreat of the glaciers.  With Bachelder, we wanted to use vineyards that we believe truly express the Niagara ‘sense of place.’  We work closely with our growers to ensure the terroir is expressed in the wines from start to finish.

What can I buy?

Check out our “Shop Wines” tab in the menu at the top of the page for the selection of wines that we can ship to you. Make sure to look at both the Release page and the “Other Selections” page. Sign up for our email list to be notified when we have a new release.

How much does delivery of an order cost?

We offer free shipping when the value of the order exceeds $200. If the total is less, shipping is charged at a flat rate of $20 (tax included).

How do you ship?

We ship with Canada Post or a local courier, depending on the destination.

When will my wines arrive?

Orders are processed Monday to Friday following receipt and then prepared for shipment, so this usually takes place within two business days. Transit time for delivery will vary depending on your address, with most Niagara and GTA addresses being served by courier within two days.

Orders outside of major centres in Southern Ontario will be delivered by Canada Post so delivery time varies by distance. Both Canada Post and our courier will email you a Ship Notification if you provide an email address when you order.

(Please check your junk mail as the tracking emails often end up there.)

Do you ship year-round?

Because we ship via Canada Post to addresses outside of major centres in Southern Ontario, we suggest that customers in these areas purchase before the end of November (or wait until Spring) in order to avoid wines freezing in transit. (i.e. During the coldest months of the year, we will suspend out-of-province deliveries. You may still place an order to secure your wine, and we will hold the order until it is safe to ship.)

What communication will I receive regarding my order?

Shortly after you place your order, you’ll receive a confirmation to the email address you provided. If you do not, check your Junk folder. Whether your order is coming via courier or Canada Post, they will also email you once the order is in their hands, giving you a tracking number. Again, if you do not receive this, check your Junk folder.

Can the mail carrier or courier leave my wine at the door?

No. At no time can your wine be left unattended. If you are not home when Canada Post attempts delivery, they will leave a notification of the postal outlet where you can pick up and sign for your order. It must be received and signed for by someone 19 years or older. For this reason, we strongly encourage you to use a business delivery address.

Problem with your delivered products?

If your order is faulty, damaged, or not what you ordered, contact us at wine@bachelderniagara.com so we can make things right.
