Where can I buy your wines?

You can buy our wines online, and some are also at at the LCBO and SAQ.

Where is your winery?

We are located on the Beamsville Bench, but we make our wines from hand-selected vineyards across Niagara.

Why these vineyards?

Over Thomas’ career in Ontario, he has worked with many great grape growers, many great terroirs formed by the escarpment and the retreat of the glaciers.  With Bachelder, we wanted to use vineyards that we believe truly express the Niagara ‘sense of place.’  We work closely with our growers to ensure the terroir is expressed in the wines from start to finish.

What can I buy?

Check out our “Shop Wines” tab in the menu at the top of the page for the selection of wines that we can ship to you. Sign up to our email list to be notified which wines will be available in the next release.

How much does delivery of an order cost?

As a “COVID consolation,” we are currently underwriting the cost of shipping, so orders of three bottles or more are free. One and two bottle orders ships for a flat rate of $20 (tax included).

When will my items arrive?

Orders ship between 5 to 7 business days depending on your address.

How do you ship?

We ship with Canada Post or a local courier, depending on the destination.

Do you ship year-round?

Because we ship via Canada Post to other provinces, we suggest that customers outside of Ontario purchase before the end of November (or wait until Spring) in order to avoid wines freezing in transit. (i.e. During the coldest months of the year, we will suspend out-of-province deliveries.)

What communication will I receive regarding my order?

Shortly after you place your order, you’ll receive a confirmation to the email address you provided. If you do not, check your Junk folder. If your order is coming via Canada Post, they will also email you with a Ship Notification with the tracking number. Again, if you do not receive this, check your Junk folder.

How can I track my shipment to anticipate its arrival?

Canada Post: They will email you updates, including a tracking number and the link to their site where you can track your parcel. (Of course, you have to have provided an email address to us when you order for this to work). Courier: If you are not there when they ring the bell, THEN they will call you and arrange another delivery time.

Can the mail carrier or courier leave my wine at the door?

No. At no time can your wine be left unattended. If you are not home when Canada Post attempts delivery, they will leave a notification of the postal outlet where you can pick up and sign for your order. It must be received and signed for by someone 19 years or older. For this reason, we strongly encourage you to use a business delivery address. (If you are not there when our courier arrives, they will call and arrange another time to deliver.)

Problem with your delivered products?

If your order is faulty, damaged, or not what you ordered, contact us at wine@bachelderniagara.com so we can make things right.
